March 1-2, 2013

This week we will be a visual novel along with the regularly scheduled anime.

Visual novels are quite popular in Japan and are a source for anime adaptions. In general, they are text-based with accompanying still images, but many are voiced to some degree. In addition, many have choices that the reader can make, leading to a number of different "routes" and different endings.

The one we will be showing this weekend, Planetarian, is a short, linear VN set in a post-apocalyptic city.

Together they find themselves embroiled in an adventure in enemy territory to find a fabled treasure that will hopefully end the war and bring peace to both countries."
